I AM A GOD

1 Corinthians 3:23

‘…you are of Christ, and Christ is of God’.

What does it mean to be a ‘Christian’? A follower of Christ or a doer of Christ’s deeds? Reading the first chapter of Genesis, one would notice that before the creation of man, God saw the need for someone to take care and have authority over His creation. The Bible says in the book of Genesis 1:26-27 that God created man in His own image and likeness; after GOD (the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit – the Trinity) saw the need for someone to reason with.

Isaiah 1:18a 

¹⁸ Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord… 

From this scriptural revelation one can tell the reason for the creation of man. Man was never JUST created to fill a space on earth or to suffer, weep or struggle on earth as a slave. Man was primarily created to TAKE DOMINION over the creations of God, his Heavenly Father. Therefore, when Adam sold out his birth right to Satan, he lost that God-given personality/identity. That was why when God entered the garden in the cool of the day to have a discussion or a conversation with Adam, He (GOD) had to call out by asking where he (Adam) was. God could not notice His creation at that very moment because he (Adam) was now having on the personality/identity of the devil.

Genesis 3:8-9

⁸ Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. ⁹ But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”

For generations past, a saviour was promised through many great prophets. This came to pass when a virgin was impregnanted by the Holy Spirit, and gave birth to Jesus Christ. He was able to accomplish His mission – to unite God’s children back to HIM, with the help of the Holy Spirit. To many believers, Jesus was to take away the sins of the earth, (which is true); but He was primarly here on earth to reconcile us to our Heavenly Father by dying on the cross. 1 Corinthians 3:23 therefore teaches each believer that, when we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and personal Saviour by believing with our heart and confessing with our mouth (Romans 10:9-10), we are not JUST being saved from the bondage of sin and being restored to our birth right; but, we are being RESTORED to our God-given personality/identity of righteousness which was stolen by the devil in the Garden of Eden.

For example, an ambassador in another country is the representation of his/her country and not his/her personality. If a Fanti from Ghana is selected to represent Ghana in Israel; no matter where he goes in Israel he is the representation of Ghana, not his tribe or region.

When countries such as America, Great Britain, Korea, Iran and others are mentioned, most countries tremble because of their supreme powers and weapons of mass destruction. So are the lives of many believers who have accepted Jesus Christ. We have become of Christ and Christ is of God; therefore we are ‘gods’ on earth. There is no way a chicken can ever birth a lion. Therefore as creations of God – created in HIS image and likeness, we are gods on this earth – with power to rule and subdue God’s creation. Believers are therefore not righteous by their deeds but through the deeds of Christ, who works through us. We are therefore seen by God through the eyes of Jesus’ personality/identity, which is of God ; and not our former evil personality/identity, which was of the devil. That is why the Bible says we are new creatures and the old things have passed away. We are new through the DELIVERING POWER in the NAME and BLOOD of Jesus.

2 Corinthians 5:17

¹⁷ Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

It is therefore our Heavenly Father’s blood that flows through us physically and spiritually – cancelling every evil pronouncement, sickness, and seed of rejection, among other evil situations. The new creation identity carries no evil spells, curses, failures or negative pronouncement; we only enjoy His (God’s) everlasting SHALOM – Peace, prosperity, success, grace, favor, among other greater gifts. I AM A GOD on earth because my HEAVENLY FATHER is the ruler of the Heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1).

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

I am of Christ, and Christ is of God. I am therefore representing my Heavenly Father on earth as a god. No power can ever have dominion over me in Jesus name. I subdue and rule over all evil powers in Jesus name. I declare prosperity, success, good health and the entire blessings in SHALOM on my path daily in Jesus name. I shall always be the head and never the tail. I command every closed door in my life to open. I am who God says I am in Jesus name.

REBUKE THE STORM (2)

2 Corinthians 5:17

¹⁷ Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

This is because he/she has become one with his/her saviour (Jesus Christ), who is also one with the Heavenly Father; making him/her a ‘god’ on this earth.

 1 Corinthians 3:23

²³ and you are of Christ, and Christ is of God.

Therefore, when an unbeliever accepts to be born again, he goes through a whole new birth process, where there is a spiritual intercourse between his spirit and the Holy Spirit which will end up causing a spiritual fertilization with the Holy Word of God which has been preached to him; and then, there is a spiritual delivery which makes him a new creature. The newly born baby will now have a Heavenly Father. And that whole new birth process has made him like his new found father – GOD.

John 10:30

³⁰ I and the Father are one.”

Just as Jesus was able to say ‘He is one with the Father, so can we (Believers) also say we are one with Jesus – who is one with our Heavenly Father, making us one also with our Heavenly Father (GOD). Therefore Jesus was sleeping in the boat because he believed their decision to be His followers not only made them BELIEVERS, but a supernatural representation of himself in each one of them. The complete body of the CHURCH was present in the boat, with Christ being the head.

Colossians 1:18

¹⁸ And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.

But their ignorance caused them to tremble at the foot of this storm. Just like the disciples, most believers lose their faith in GOD when ‘suddenly’ or ‘without a warning’ storms such as sexual weakness, barrenness, sickness, hate, sorrow, fear, financial problems, umemployment, among others hit their boat of life. We lose faith in GOD because we do not know our spiritual identity as gods on this earth. We do not need Jesus Christ to be present physically to STOP or REBUKE the STORM for us, because we are of Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ is of God. Our fear has therefore crippled our faith, which has also crippled our spiritual authority.

NB: A baby believer is higher than the mightiest demon or agent in the satanic kingdom.

Until we are able to stand firm with our spiritual identity based on the Holy Word, and speak to or against any negative storm that hits our boats all of a sudden without a warning, we may end up getting buried in the storm. Do not be like the disciples, who for the lack of FAITH in their spiritual identity, had to wake Jesus from his sleep to save them. For a physical representation of GOD – to rule and have dominion over His (GOD’s) creation, that was why YOU (man and woman) were created in His (GOD’s) image and likeness. Do not listen to that deceitful voice of the evil one; for YOU are blessed and highly empowered to stand against any evil STORM.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

In the name of Jesus, I declare and decree that any negative storm that has risen against my life, my family, my friends, and my loved ones to be calm. I speak to you according to the Holy Word of GOD that as a representative and a son of the MOST HIGH GOD that you will remain calm and be obedient to my voice in Jesus name. I am free in Jesus name.

 

REBUKE THE STORM (1)

Matthew 8:23-27

²³ Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him.²⁴ suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. ²⁵ The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”

²⁶ He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.

²⁷ The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”

For every special game, journey or assignment, there is surely the need for a special equipment to make that journey, game or assignment unique. Without a ‘football’, there is no game of football even if twenty-two (22) players are well-trained and dressed for the match on a football pitch. A similar thing can be said for the game of ‘ludo’ which is played with the help of a ‘dice’. One cannot go to the airport and be transported by a bus instead of a plane. There is no way a person can transport himself by foot on sea instead of using a ship, boat or canoe (except for our Lord Jesus Christ). Like the many examples given, the human life (as we have all agreed to) is a journey which needs to be completed for a special reward at the finish line. But to be able to journey in this ‘human world’ (earth) successfully, the most important equipment is the ‘human body’ – which is of utmost necessity. It is only with this human body that one can be accepted as a human being. This human form (body) is the official jersey of the ‘human being football club’, which was originally coached by God until the devil deceived Adam, the then manager of the football club. That is the reason why when a person dies, he takes off his official jersey (as if shown a red card or transferred) to take another, so he/she is able to continue life wherever he/she is going. Remember, the decision for each human being to live on this earth is not self-made, but according to the will of a greater authority (GOD).

The disciples who followed Jesus into the boat were not in the boat by chance, but according to the purpose and mission of Jesus Christ, who was journeying to the other side of the lake to continue His mission on this earth (Matthew 8:23). This affirms the fact that your journey as a believer on this earth is not by chance, but with a definite purpose and mission of Jesus Christ, our Lord and personal saviour – to preach the gospel to the many lost souls.

Matthew 28:19-20

¹⁹ Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, ²⁰ and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

The bible goes on to say something in the verse 24 of Matthew chapter 8, “suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. BUT JESUS WAS SLEEPING.” Another version of the bible uses ‘without warning’ instead of ‘suddenly’; meaning that the storm happened unexpectedly, and was ready to destroy them. Each reader’s question will be, ‘Why was Jesus sleeping when there was chaos?’ The decision of any man or woman to be saved or born-again is because he/she believes he/she needs to be restored to his/her former position with God – thus, to be the image and likeness of God (to be righteous). This decision can’t be made based on human instinct, there is a need for a supernatural push from a spirit (the Holy Spirit), who comes to convict the individual inwardly. After he/she is saved or born-again, he/she becomes a new creation and will no longer be recognized by his/her former (old) character or behaviour (identity).
