Romans 12:1-2
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
We are spirit with a soul living in a body; i hope you agree with me on that. According to 1 thessalonians 5:23, Paul clearly states it by asking God to help preserve these three: the spirit, the soul and the body, blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour is not a rebirth of the human body or human mind but it is a rebirth of the human spirit; and since your human body was not born again in the new birth,
you will have to do something with your body.
WHAT DO I MEAN?
Before you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour, you were either a thief, a womanizer, a murderer or an armed robber; after you accepted Jesus Christ that old behaviour did not just vanish into thin air all of a sudden (If it did, you are deceiving yourself), it took the reading of the Holy Bible (Word of God) and the direction of the Holy Spirit for that old behaviour to change. Let me state this clearly, 'until you renew your mind by reading the Holy Bible, the enemy will steal your salvation'. Why do we have many of these people going back to their old behaviour? It is because they were not fed with the Word of God (the Holy Bible) to renew their mind; rather, they depended on their own might and power. Accepting Christ, you renew your human spirit; until you are fed
with the Word of God, your mind will never be renewed. That was what Paul was telling the Roman Christians. You can accept Christ, but until your mind is renewed you will continue to do the will of the World instead of the will of God (you cannot serve two masters: the devil and God. Choose who will worship now). It is the Word of God that will quicken the human spirit to quicken the human body out of the will of the world into the will of God.
WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?
1. Study the Word of God (the Holy Bible) as often as you can.
Many people will tell you to read the Bible daily. How many times do you feed your body with food? "As food is to the human body, so is the Word of God to the human spirit". Therefore, as you feed your body so must you feed the spirit (Imagine your spirit having 'Kwashiorkor').
2. Speak to your Heavenly Father often.
This is the simplest definition for prayer; 'Speaking to your heavenly father and sealing it with 'in the name of Jesus'. For the Word of God says that whatever you ask my father in my name, he will do it. Learn to speak to your father always. Remember, it is not about the number of hours but the effectiveness of the heart praying.
3. Never lose faith in the WORD of God.
We will discuss faith and hope into detail another time. All I will say is this, 'whatever the WORD of God says is true for you; just believe in it'. Do not have hope in the WORD of God, rather have faith in it.

JUST BELIEVE IN HIS NAME
"For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believe in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life" JOHN 3: 16.
Reading the book of Genesis in the Holy Bible, you will notice that the first man created by God, Adam, availed himself to the devil for sin to come into the world. Now, as sin reigned upon the earth, the Lord did so much to purify the earth: He flooded the earth during the days of Noah, He asked men to give burnt offerings, He gave the ten commandments and many others. But, these were not enough to cleanse mankind of all of these sins. It therefore happened one day in Heaven that God asked, "Who will go into the world to save my people from sin?" according to the book of Isaiah. Then, a voice said, "Father, send me"; and this was the voice of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. He was the only begotten son of God. That is why John 3:16 states that, "For God so loved the World...". In God's urgent need to bring His children back to Himself, he needed a person this time to be sacrificed, not an animal. And because he loved the world (His lost children), he gave "His only begotten son", who was born of a virgin Mary according to the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke etc, to come and die for your sins. Therefore, whether you are a prostitute, armed robber, thief, drug addict, drug dealer, money launderer, fornicator, adulterer, porn addict etc, there is a God, your father in Heaven, who has sent His only begotten son, Jesus Christ, that when you believe in His name, you shall be saved and have everlasting life. He is not interested in the many bad things you have done, all he wants is YOU. For as many as received Him, to them he gave power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe in His name.
